New! 20 billion new ways to Love Your Gut.

Introducing Love Your Gut Synbiotic by Lee Holmes, Clinical Nutritionist and author.

Forgive us if this blog is focused on one of our products. It’s just that we love to bring you the best in gut health and we like to shine a little light on our work. In this case, it’s 18 months of nutritional research and formula development work by the Supercharged Food founder, Lee Holmes.

In her role as a clinical nutritionist and nine-time author, Lee is at the cutting edge of nutritional science with a particular focus on gut health (Lee wrote two best-selling books on the topic). Using this knowledge base Lee formulated the new Love Your Gut Synbiotic.

Packed with over 20 billion high quality probiotics, prebiotics, digestive enzymes and dietary fibre, your gut will simply love a daily dose of Synbiotic. Actually, let’s let Lee say it in her own words:

“I’m over the moon with Synbiotic. It’s just the perfect addition to our Love Your Gut range. It’s real, necessary nutrition for what I like to call a ‘loved gut’ (my nutrition lecturers and textbooks would probably want a more scientific description but as a health communicator I like how ‘a loved gut’ gives you some agency in our own health).

Our guts thrive with prebiotics and probiotics - there’s reams of research on their benefits. We also need to supercharge our digestion so these and other nutrients and hydration are processed and waste is disposed. That’s why I added digestive enzymes and dietary fibre to the Synbiotic mix.

Who’s Synbiotic for?

Not to be flippant but Love Your Gut Synbiotic really is for anyone with a gut. A well-looked after gut, a loved gut as we like to call it, is your health’s BFF. Populating your gut with prebiotics and probiotics is fundamental to that Loved Gut goal. Your microbiome just gobbles these up, creating a balanced and healthy environment to extract the nutrients and hydration we need every day.

The digestive enzymes and dietary fibre in Synbiotic kick in to help absorb and syndicate the nutrients throughout your body. And dispose of waste and toxins.

The gut has a direct and indirect impact on most health conditions. To name a few: Crohn’s, Coeliac, ulcerative colitis, SIBO, candida, bloating, constipation, IBD, chronic diarrhoea, GERD, IBS, lactose intolerance, diverticulitis, leaky gut (dysbiosis), inflammation, mental health, weight management, skin health, worms, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Graves’ disease and Hashimoto’s disease. Phew! The gut really is at the centre of it all.

A Loved Gut

Lee says “I’ve had an autoimmune condition for over a decade now. I know through my own experience and my clinical studies that a clean, toned and nourished gut mitigates the symptoms of not only autoimmune disease but a raft of other gut-related and not directly gut related health conditions”.

Shoutout to two indigenous ingredients

Synbiotic contains Australian natives - Finger Lime (Citrus australasica) and Kakadu Plum (Terminalia ferdinandiana). They play a vital role in the Synbiotic formula by adding a source of dietary fibre, iron and Vitamin C for gut immune system and antioxidant support.

The 4 Ps of a Loved Gut.

  1. Prepare
  2. Process
  3. Populate
  4. Proliferate

Across the Love Your Gut range, with the addition of Synbiotic, the 4 Ps of a Loved Gut are ticked off!

Firstly, we need to Prepare 🛁  the gut by cleaning and toning the environment. This, among other benefits, is the role of our famous Love Your Gut powder and capsules. It gently, very gently cleans the gut and creates an alkaline environment with a pH 8.

Next, Process🔥. Put a little digestive fire (in Ayurveda they call this agni) in your belly! The gut needs to be primed (another ‘P’!) to Process and absorb nutrients and hydration. That’s the role of our Fulvic Humic Concentrate. It, again among other things, helps the gut process nutrients as well as strengthening the tight junctions that are weakened in leaky gut.

Populate 👨‍👨‍👧‍👧. All the Love Your Gut products play a role here as they add vital minerals and nutrients to your gut. However, this is where Synbiotic really shines! It adds over 20 billion high quality probiotics in every daily level tablespoon (4g) serve. 20 billion sounds filling but it’s just the right amount for your gut to thrive.

The last but not least P is Proliferate. Now, we really struggled to find an appropriate emoji for Populate so go easy on us. We settled on the symbol as it symbolises (funnily enough) the idea of multiplying. The prebiotics in Synbiotic act as multipliers of the probiotics - feeding them, in a way nurturing them to thrive in your gut.

We’ll go into the 4 P’s in more depth in the next Supercharge Your Gut blog.

I have tried this product and it is amazing! If I am feeling bloated, just one teaspoon of this powder, is enough to reduce the bloat and get my gut back in balance. I use a regular dose (daily) when I am feeling depleted, stressed or unwell (to boost the immune system). Only negative would be its tricky to take in water, I usually mix with a bit of plain yoghurt which works a treat but it is recommended on an empty stomach so I hope its ok to take it like this? Either way, this is a great product which I’d happily recommend.

I’m really interested in trying the Synbiotic capsules however I can’t find the dosage rates or how many are in a tub. I’ve always struggled with my weight but since losing my tree nursery job of 22 years (lots of strenuous work) 3 years ago I have really packed the weight on. I have recently been told I should try a gut digestive enzyme and probiotic formula and it seems fluke that yours has popped up. Can you tell me if it is one capsule with each meal or a different dosage? Thankyou from Connie xxx
