Hydration is the wellspring of our well-being, inside and out. Among many other benefits, proper hydration helps keep our guts processing nutrients and disposing of waste. And it keeps our skin supple and smooth.

Water also helps our bodies from shrinking - hear us out here: if we are 60% water then if we don’t top ourselves up we will surely wither a bit. OK, this is not strictly (or factually) true but we really want you to drink more water!

We have to keep hydration as a daily must-have.

What the FHC!

Mother Nature comes to the rescue yet again. Nature has provided us with incredible ingredients to enhance this essential aspect of our being.

Fulvic and humic acids, derived from ancient organic matter, are gaining recognition for their remarkable abilities to support hydration at the cellular level. In this blog, we'll delve into the fascinating world of fulvic humic acids and how they can supercharge your hydration.

Lee dropping her ‘drops of Jupiter’

(Of course, we’re super fans of Fulvic Humic. Our Love Your Gut Fulvic Humic Concentrate (FHC) drops are very popular. These ‘drops of Jupiter’ help deep clean the tight junctures of our digestive system and help hydration (and nutrients from food) get into our very cells!).

Lee Holmes, clinical nutritionist says “Hydration and staying hydrated is becoming a critical issue in the world of nutrition and wellbeing, It’s not that we’re not drinking enough healthy liquid, it’s just that we’re not absorbing it enough. Water (preferably filtered) is still liquid royalty but we can boost its ability to be absorbed by the body through the gut with a few drops of FHC. I add FHC to my walk-around water bottle every day.” (Watch Lee talk about FHC)

The Ancient History of FHC
Fulvic humic acids are natural compounds formed over thousands of years by the decomposition of organic matter in soil. They contain a complex array of beneficial molecules, including a super rich source of electrolytes, making them valuable resources for our hydration.

Water and electrolytes do mix!
Electrolytes are critical for maintaining proper hydration, nerve function, muscle function, and regulating the body's acid-base balance. They help transmit electrical signals in nerves and muscle cells and play a role in osmosis, which affects the movement of water and nutrients in and out of cells.

Cellular Water Transport
Fulvic humic acids aid in the efficient transport of water and nutrients into our cells, improving cellular hydration.

Enhanced Nutrient Absorption:
These acids can increase the absorption of vital nutrients, ensuring your cells receive the nourishment they need.

Drinking makes you dehydrated
We’re talking about alcohol, or course. Hang up on the hangover by dropping a few FHC drops into your alcohol. It’s tasteless, just like your friend’s jokes (we all have a friend like that, don’t we?).

You can tell we don’t drink much at Supercharged Food - this wine looks horrible. At least it didn’t give us a hangover after we added the FHC!

A watery end
There’s no other way to finish this blog other than to state the obvious - staying properly hydrated is vital for health and well-being. Fulvic humic is emerging as an incredible way to support our bodies' liquid intake at the cellular level. Their ability to enhance water transport, improve nutrient absorption, and boost overall hydration make them worth exploring in your daily wellness routine.
