Another great thing about oats is that they leave room for a little bit of experimentation and personalisation! Try sprinkling chia seeds, coconut flakes or crushed nuts for a little extra goodness. 

This gutmeal recipe is topped with grilled banana and walnuts. Gutmeal (Oatmeal with a Gut-Healing Twist)



    1. Preheat oven grill and line a tray with baking paper.
    2. Place banana skin side down and scatter walnuts on the tray.
    3. Drizzle rice malt syrup and place under the grill for 10 minutes or until golden.
    4. Meanwhile, cook oats in water in a small saucepan over low heat.
    5. Add sea salt and cinnamon.
    6. When cooked, stir in the LYG powder.
    7. Add milk and remove any lumps by stirring through.
    8. Top with berries, banana and walnut.
    9. Enjoy while warm!
